So all news sites are in on it with the government? Do you seriously believe that there are so many people lying?

Do you seriously believe everything put out as "news" is the truth?

As for believing lots of people can be deceived, I have no doubt of that. Even the bible claims this - Revelation 12:9. Is that a lie too, Lam?

It's apparently the elitists that are in the one percent bracket (edit to add that they worship owls in hidden places but that be propaganda bs overruled by gvmnt) so all others are just cogs in the wheel. But it goes very deep into things like Cerns etc etc. But really that has nothing to do with flatearths. I wonder about gravity and how that fits in?

"Sir" Isaac Newton had been dropping turds his whole life and never realized they were due to "gravity" until an apple fell on his head! LOLOLOLZZ. Hey - get it? The fruit of the tree of KNOWLEDGE gave him his outstanding revelation!

These kinds of "news" articles are the favorites of globeheads. It's required reading whenever the spinning globe is tested...because hey - Flat Earther's - YOUR THREATENING OUR ENTERTAINMENT...Buck Rogers, Star Trek, Star Wars etc...

I especially like the fares for 1st class patrons. $3,333. Ah, Freemason BS.

But "we believe in the bible".

Actually, no you don't. It tells a bunch of lies about a stationary earth, that has pillars and doesn't move. Being a Globe Believer means you treat the Creation account and all kinds of verses as complete fiction. It's calling it a lie. Sounds harsh? Yes, but it's the truth.

Go back to the flight tracking site I showed you. 0 flights go over Antarctica. It's practical to fly over Antarctica for a number of reasons if we lived on a Globe - but 0 flights fly over it!

Duh moment.

But...but...our entertainment! Luke, don't abandon me! Spaaaacccceeee......

Is that a viewpoint different than the paradigm of most flatearthers?

How does what's hi-lighted in red come anywhere close to an answer to the questios above it? It's a tactical evasion, with an attempt to put Lämmchen on the defensive to have to answer an obviously inane question, one with a bit of a putdown of her intelligence as well. Your use of the words seriously believe implies that she's dumb enough to say that she believes everything in the news is the truth. That's a rather insulting implication.

As far as Rev 12:9, for someone who calls the Apostle Paul a liar, and considers much of the Bible untrustworthy, it's absurd and again rather insulting that you would imply Lämmchen would believe the Word of God to be a lie.
And not only is that verse true, but one of the tricks the deceiver uses is to cast doubt on the veracity of the Bible, and to follow cunningly devised fables, so you may want to try a different verse in your attempts to try and convince an intelligent christian woman that the world is flat.

They both said 'do you seriously believe"

Which viewpoint? Are you referencing bible belief?

If so, I cannot speak for my fellow flat earth believers. There are those who do not accept the Bible, there are those that do. Flat Earth is a major teaching of all the major religions, Christianity and Judaism included. But it is not limited to just those 2.

I happen to believe the biblical account. That being said, and I have made this clear on numerous occasions, there are parts of the bible I do not believe. The bible is not one book - it is a collection of books. Out of that collection, I only accept a relatively small part of the New Testament, all of the old Testament - and also believe it's very likely we are missing a few books - like the book of Enoch.

What's more, I am, and have been open about this from my very first day on this message board. I have not tried to hide it. It's in my opening statement in the introduction on this board. I have been honest about what I believe, and what I don't believe in these matters.

Therefore, I am not in a position of duplicity (on this subject of Flat earth) like most people who say they are bible believers are. The bible clearly teaches that the sun moves around the earth, the earth is stationary, water is above the firmament. Most Christians say they "believe in the bible" - but they don't believe the verses that point to a flat, stationary earth. I have no problem pointing that out to them. It may make me unpopular, but I do believe telling the truth is an act of love.

Lam, I assume you believe that we landed on the moon. This is not the subject of debate specifically in this thread, but I'll use it as an example.

All the news sites around the world that were broadcasting the landing/spacewalk etc
- All the newscasters at those news sites
- All the managers at those news sites
- Everyone else at the news sites

Gave us information 2nd hand. Only a few people were supposedly "walking on the moon". None of the news personnel were. As for NASA, my guess is tasks are compartmentalized, so that a worker is only on a "need to know" basis.

Your argument contains an assumption. That assumption is that there is no difference between knowing one is covering up a truth and simply repeating an untruth. There is a big difference. I don't believe we landed on the moon - but I know that only a few people had to originate the lie, and a lot more people just had to repeat the lie.

So if you believe we went to the moon, for example, you can state that - and I'll believe you that you are sincere in that belief. But you are not the originator of that story. You see the difference?

NASA - the pictures they produce, the stories they write - is a very great deceiver. That is why NASA is in the bible as a sound, and has the definitions it has (refer to my thread in News section). It is important to know this.

Again, you believe that anyone claiming to have done something you feel can't be done that all those people are lying? Instead you're believing people on the internet?

Lam, your original argument was that "news sites" were all lying. Now you've changed it to the people originating stories, not simply the people repeating them. Good, so at least the footing is now honest.

Yes, I do believe that all the astronauts (those who would know whether they went to space or not) are full of it. Over 18 billion dollars annually for NASA, Lam. Lots of reasons to lie.

We know much of the "space footage" and "photos" are faked. It can and has been proven already.

I realize it is very hard to accept. It took me a year of looking into this stuff before I broke down - physically broke down over this issue. There is no way I would say I believe the earth is flat if I did not believe it. It gets me the hatred and ridicule of a great many people. That being said - our numbers are growing exponentially.

density is not gravity but a large dense object will have more gravity than an object of the same size that is less dense. What appears to be proportional to gravity is the mass of an object and the distance one is from its centre of mass. The equation is f = G(m/r[SUP]2[/SUP]) r being the distance from the centre of gravity to the place one is measuring gravity's force.

^ I agree. A rock and a feather do not fall at the same time.

They do on the moon :) on earth the feather floats in the air. The moon is airless so they both fall at the same rate and land at the same time if dropped from the same height at the same time.

Who's disagreeing with this? Only density and buoyancy effect the speed (and direction) of an object's movement.

Both the rock and the feather are denser than the air around them, so they will both fall. The speed at which they fall is determined by their buoyancy and aerodynamic drag.

...Much like a piece of paper. A flat piece of paper has greater buoyancy when dropped - than the same paper crumpled into a ball. The crumpled paper will fall much faster. Less aerodynamic drag.

A large balloon carrying people into the sky is much more heavy than a rock one can hold in your hand - but it rises - defying the force called "gravity" - because of it's buoyant properties.

If I jump off a cliff, I fall - because my body is denser than the air around me. But I can float in water by holding my breath, because the air in my lungs makes me much less dense than the water I am surrounded in.

Gravity is a law that frankly I don't understand in terms of aerodynamics except that it is respecter of no persons. There's the law of cause and effect that also can only be avoided with a miracle such as healing of disease from gluttony for instance. Are there any natural laws that can explain what your saying that needs miraculous intervention to change. I hope that makes sense but I don't know how else to say that. Or perhaps you can post the scripture that you say pertains to an immovable earth and a rotating solar system etc ?

Cassia, I don't agree with everything in this article, but it is a good start for bible verses pertaining to the issue:

https://www.lhup.edu/~dsimanek/febible.htm

Also, flat earther's do not believe in the solar system - because the term describes a model of the universe to which we do not subscribe.

I'm watching a pod cast featuring Eric Dubay discussing "gravity" and the point he brought up bears repeating.

If you submerge yourself in water, filling your lungs with enough air first, you will float. You are defying the supposed force of gravity that would pull you down. Air bubbles in water go UP, not down. Raindrops in air go DOWN, not up. The air in your lungs is effecting your density - making you less dense and more buoyant in the water. Now, if you release the air, you will sink into the water. This is not due to gravity either - it is due to the fact that now, because of the released air - your body is more dense and less buoyant than the water, and you will sink. It has 0 to do with "gravity" and *everything* to do with density and buoyancy of your body relative to the density of the water.

Gravity is a made up force concocted to reinforce the fiction that water can stick to the outside of a spinning spheroid without flying off. Water sticking to the outside of a spinning spheroid cannot be shown in any real life experiment. People only believe in the Globe because they have been brainwashed with it from an early age, and through popular science fiction entertainment and their authority figures.

So to wit - the title of this thread is "what makes the earth go round".

Answer: It doesn't. The sun, moon and stars revolve around it. They revolve around us. And yes, each of us is very special. The place we live is special. It is the work of the Creator.
