For me personally cassia i have little control over my emotions and thoughts. They control me. Or i disassociate with life and they take over.

Unbalanced is part of the chaos.

It was about a year or so after that i went back into chaos. I talked to my therapist and they discontinued that dbt and retooled it. Offering a more intense one and a less intense. The success rate was not what they had expected from that dbt in the years they did it.

Now i am doing a bit of an odd dbt course because of my work schedule but it is one on one, where the other was a group session for 6 months. What i am doing is usually 1 group and 1 one on one each week for 6 months, but my work schedule doesn't allow for it.

I read through some of the description for dbt that Jsimms435 gave on the first page
dialectical behavioral therapy. Here is a link to learn more
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dialec...havior_therapy

I noticed that it listed for eating disorders too and saw that some of the therapy were things that my daughter went through when she had her eating disorder.

Do you find that you like the groups better or the one on one better?

My daughter learned some very bad self-harm techniques in group as she listened to others. That's the danger of groups even though you can learn empathy toward others by their stories.
