Nonsense; I've already proved my point which was that of relative ignorance from the start.

Guess you really aren't going to actually address anything I posed after all.

Oh well.

K, foreal, gotta long day tomorrow
Why when he can post unscriptural doctrine and probably feels if he posts it enough someone might believe it.

That's okay, your replies are reason enough not to follow the religion you espouse.
You won't find me espousing anything not in the scriptures. No matter how long it has or has not been around.

Satan himself said to the Lord Jesus "If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down. For it has been written: "For he has given charge of you to his angels, and they shall take you into their hands, lest perhaps you may hurt your foot against a stone."" [SUP]Matthew 4:6[/SUP] thus showing how easy it is to appear to rely on the holy scriptures while in truth one is teaching lies and errors for wicked purposes. The faithful know their Lord's voice and follow him [SUP]John 10:3-4[/SUP].

Which is why we should be more like the Bereans who heard what others said and then searched the scriptures to determine if it was true.

The Bereans were Jews whose claim to fame was that they were willing to hear Paul and examine their scriptures to see if he was being truthful [SUP]Acts 17:10-15[/SUP]. Their conduct might be an example for Jews to follow but their example is not intended for Christians to follow because Christians are to follow the example of Christ and of faithful Christians [SUP]Philippians 2:1-11; 3:17[/SUP].

The intent of the response is to show that we should go to the scriptures to determine if what someone is preaching is true or false. Even then there can be difficulties with some who twist God's word.

And the Word says to examine so I think the example is apt and should be applied

The Bereans did check Paul's preaching against something along the lines of the old testament but Paul was preaching Christ and the only thing that the Bereans could check was Paul's use of the old testament passages [SUP]Acts 17:10-15[/SUP] as prefiguring Christ Jesus. If you wanting something to encourage Christians to search the scriptures then Jesus words ought to be enough but Jesus was speaking to unbelieving Jews when he said "search the scriptures" [SUP]John 5:39[/SUP].

So only Jews should search the scriptures? Wrong again

your not saying this because you care about truth but because you did not like that i spoke in opposition to your denomination .it appears your loyalties are divided between the two .

I wrote what I wrote because it is true. Your attempted psychological analysis of my motives is unsuccessful - but carry on, I get a chuckle out of it. It would be nice to see you deal with the bible passages I quoted/cited rather than attempting to denigrate me.
