does anyone here have insomnia? i have a very bad form of it. had it since i was 14 years old. i can stay awake from 6:30am until 3:45am. i have irregular sleep patterns daily. i refuse to take sleep aides because they can be addicting over time. though i have a bottle of melatonin handy.

I don't consider myself to have insomnia, as my sleep pattern is regular, but I rarely sleep more than 4-5 hours and I sleep very lightly. I have always been a night owl, and feel more productive when the sun is down.

some days, i wish i could sleep past my usual waking time of 6:45am..but thats not very productive, its laziness. the only times i cherish the most are holidays.. and maybe the occassional sick leave, vacation time off

I have it but now take meds that knock me out. But if I don't take them I will not sleep.

Yes, I'm on that and an anxiety med that make me VERY sleepy.
Oh I hate that. I never take sleeps because the next day I just can't shake the drugged out foggy feeling all day. I'd just rather be tired than that.

I take Gabpentin for neuropothy and for sleep as well, it does not leave me dragging the next day

Maybe it is just my small 24 year old brain, but I would think for you that would not be being lazy it would be called getting enough sleep.
