Anytime they "improve" things, we end up with broken access. :D

Did Microsoft do a recent software update? I know when they do updates on mine that weird things happen and it's so frustrating. I still have problems with my wifi from time to time so I plugged in the ethernet cable because I couldn't handle the aggravation anymore.

I cringe every time Firefox loads and says it has been updated. I've been a Firefox user since 2002, but in the last couple of years, it just gets worse and worse with every update. :(

This last Firefox update really slowed down my browsing I've noticed! I don't like other browsers well enough to change though!

Yes, things got considerably worse for me ever since FF 50.0. I suppose Chrome would be my next alternative, but I would really miss Firebug and Adblocker, although I would think Chrome has rough equivalents. I just like the way FF looks over Chrome too...but FF now leaks memory like a bottomless bucket. :(

50.0.2 I just updated this week for Firefox. Every page was loading so slowly that I thought I had a virus. Then I changed to a different browser and wow, it loaded immediately.

So I googled to see some solutions and of course contact your ISP was first on the list to see if they support it. Second was to enable it on your router. I'm not sure why you would suddenly be receiving the message though except that perhaps some sort of update was done by someone recently?

Sometimes a PC is like a magic-box; what happens inside is dark and secret and very mysterious :)

I like windows 10 but no recent operating system is static so one has to expect changes and change can cause glitches and bugs. The people who have recently bought the very expensive MacBook Pro are having both hardware and software glitches and bugs disturbing their peaceful use of the pc. My Sony Vaio running Windows 7 pro is having difficulties with updating because there's something amiss in windows update for windows 7. It is a recent (within 2016) problem for which no permanent solution appears to exist. Back in the days of DOS updates were rare and so we had very few problems, but lots of viruses and things.
