Voting day has arrived in the USA. In 12 hours or so the election will be formally over. The counting will have been underway for a while. People will have an inkling of the winning side. Will it be Candidate Donald Trump or Candidate Hillary Clinton?

It'd be interesting to have a poll of who voted for whom within CH. An anonymous poll of course.

So here it is.

Who did you vote for?
  • Donald Trump
  • Hillary Clinton
  • Jill Stein
  • Gary Johnson
  • Other.

You didn't list the option that fits me.

No. I didn't vote for any you list or for some "other" because I didn't vote for the top of the ticket; the option I'd need is "none"

Interpret "other" as including "none of the above" and "none at all"

I am not voting but I can select "other" since I am not voting for anybody :smirk:

My wife voted for Darrell Castle (she had to write him his name since he didn't qualify for the ballot in California) primarily as a way to register her protest to Hillary and Donald but I didn't vote for ANY - although I did vote in all the rest of the MANY elections and propositions (it was a LONG ballot, two sides, two pages!).

That's tiny compared to a typical Australian Senate ballot. In my state the last Senate Ballot had over 100 candidates.

if I were able, probably would have been for Jill Stein. I know nothing about her, but she did something that impressed me. She did not rank high enough in opinion polls to be included in debates. She showed up on a University campus prior to one of the debates to answer press questions. Since she didn't have press credentials, so she was peaceably escorted off. She later returned to the entrance of the University (public property) with supporters, and answered every debate question via 'Twitter'.
