So I have encountered many people who dislike the idea of the Feast Days within Orthodoxy, and will often beat them down. But yet, I have seen before where there are Protestants who will celebrate the Jewish Feasts, such as the Feast of the Trumpets with the Shofar.

Isn't this essentially the same idea?

No. Orthodox feasts are specifically Christian and mark significant events in the life of Christ and the church or significant events related to saints who serve as examples for the faithful to see, attend to, and follow as a part of their following of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jewish feasts cannot be celebrated biblically today because there is no temple any more and no priests in the line of Aaron to offer sacrifices and all animal sacrifices offered today are worthless since the one sacrifice that truly saves and is truly pleasing to God has been made and no more sacrifice for sin can be made now.
