The 7 continents of the world are North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia.

If you really want to get into it then there is one one that split apart when God seperated the people, for those who have trouble with this take a map and kae a puizzle out of it and you will see that they fit almost perfect together

September, 1973, the Club of Rome published a report entitled the "Regionalized and Adaptive Model of the Global World System", which was authored by Eduard Pestel and Mihajlo Mesarovic. The report revealed the Club's intention to divide the world into ten economic/political regions, called "Kingdoms", which would unite the entire world under a common leadership. These regions are:

Well, Asia, Europe and Africa are all connected. However North and South America are "pinched off" at Panama, while Asia and Africa are "pinched off" at Suez and Europe and Asia are separated by the Ural Mountains.

Every island is its own land mass. Greenland is large enough in land mass to be considered a continent, but yet isn't because of the number of people on it.

But...what about Antarctica then? I haven't done any fact checking, but I would guess fewer people live on Antarctica than Greenland. :dunno:

If the Panama Canal is a big enough gap to consider something a separate land mass, what about Iceland, Greenland, Ireland, the Lofoten Islands, the Greek Islands, the numerous islands off the northwest of Canada and so on? New Zealand would have to count as two continents.

I'm thinking we must add to the U.N. committee, an advisory panel of the world's foremost experts in geometry (and computer science), to painstakingly decide the general dimensions for an isthmus/body of water in relation to the adjoining landmasses such that the landmasses can be considered as distinct for the purposes of continent labeling.
