It is a 99 Chrysler Concorde. I don't even know what a solinoid is.

The solenoid is basically the thing that takes the electricity from the battery and sends it to the starter. If no electricity goes to the starter, it won't engage the flywheel. Usually when it's bad, you just get a clicking noise and no cranking.

Hot weather causes things to expand. In older cars (I have my share), things are already not as tight as a new car, so the expanding might cause connections to not be connecting.

So it could be something as simple as needing a new distributer cap. It could also be a bad relay that's in the cab of the car, and when it gets hot, the wires don't send a good signal. That happened with one of my cars.

Thanks for the ideas of what is wrong with my car. Now I have to find a way to get it out of the garage and to the service station. It is parked head in and quite a large car. I'm going to call AAA tomorrow. Tried to start it twice today. Ugh.

Thanks Bill, I hope so too. The problem is that it's in a garage. Somebody's going to have to push it out. I don't feel like doing anything today. I got up late again. Maybe tomorrow I'll try and get it out of there.

I couldn't sleep last night. I know I fell asleep after 9 am. I even took sleep medicine and couldn't sleep. I don't know when I am going to get the car out of the garage. I've been ordering take out by delivery because I hardly have any food. I feel down about this.
