funny I knew a lot of others more so than Prince. Heard him mentioned from time to time but never stood out that I can tell

I thought his music was not very interesting ...

but his fame was relatively recent and perhaps the others were famous further back in time?

I preferred the papal funeral for John Paul II. It lasted couple of hours but then it was over. No endless reviews of it. No day after day of repeating the event.

His cremation and its lack of ostentation was reported. That was not too bad. But some gossip was mentioned about his "inner circle" being ready to tell the "salacious" story of his last days. That was quite bad. I never like news that is nothing more than malicious gossip.

In an interview Prince once said he had a lot of unpublished works that he himself would not publish. Now that he's passed I wonder if they will be released? I would love to sing one of his unpublished works!

They were talking about that and the consensus is that they will be released, at least someof them he has over 1000
