"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes will find so doing. Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions." (Matthew 24:45-47)

Is there an identifiable person or group of persons at any time in history or today that matches the description in the above verses?

Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Why did He do this?

Ephesians 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

In think your question flows from stripping this verse of its context.

We all know that the RCC is obsessed with POWER - unmitigated, unaccountable, lording-over-all POWER. And it will twist and abuse anything in its self-serving quest for such POWER. But I think this verse has nothing to do with that and doesn't help the RCC at all.
