Let's return to the topic. Please.

This IS the topic.
So what power was Lord Jesus telling His disciples here?

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
You do not know the answer, but you evade the question rather than be humble enough to admit you do not know.

Alitis, I love you brother, but, you have not answered the question.
no ..i wasnt trying to yet.
i was defining the distinct difference.
the op is talking about the power of the gospel.
but it is a power...unto salvation.
but once the road of salavation is entered we receive the power to near witness of the salvation of God.

to just say the gospel is the power of god misrepresents the text.
my repky is to the genral topic.

OK gotcha. Not to mention the gospel was written by power.
