But it quite literally makes me sick. I think I might be allergic to it.

not at home but we use it at some masses and at nearly all funerals.

Yup it came straight out of the Jewish. I find a lot in the mass that does and thats a good thing. There is more jewishness in religion than most think

My church doesn't use it but my wife and I like it and use it at home. I wish we used it at church but if it's going to keep people away like my mother which it really bothers her sinuses I'd rather do without it.

I'm not your mother-in-law...but it bugs my sinuses too! LOL

So, I don't like being around incense. When I was pregnant it would make me vomit. Not sure what it is about it really though.

Incense was very popular when I was a teenager but that was probably because a lot of kids began smoking at that age and wanted to mask the smell of their cigarette or whatever kind of smoke they were doing. Incense was used throughout the old testament and was offered to Jesus by the wise men but I like the verse in the book of psalm
Psalm 141:2
May my prayer be counted as incense before You; The lifting up of my hands as the evening offering.
