It is perfectly fine for a writer to write an article about forgiveness and restoration in the area of sexual sin. Sexual sin can generate far-reaching problems in the life of one who hasn't properly dealt with God's forgiveness, their guilt and feelings of self-worth. It is a pervasive problem, and often the devil likes to set up a stronghold in the lives of people who have been promiscuous, and/or have suffered with incest or childhood sexual abuse.

Sure, I just don't get why the focus on that sin. Those who have been involved in the occult will also have an ongoing source of potential attack, not least because there are a few situations where a former occultist will feel a temptation to revert to their former practices. Those who have had issues with honesty in the past will feel temptations to revert to their former practices if they have financial troubles, and so on.

But hey, even though the article seems to be using an awful lot of words to convey a message that's not much more than "if we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness", if people need lots of words written by a modern author instead of a dozen or so words inspired by God they have what they want.

I am thankful I don't have this virgin hang up problem. Been married, had sex. Had one partner since, and the memories are nice. No devil's strongholds. No emotional bondage. Some disappointment that the relationship didn't continue (in any sense)... some disappointment at that...but I've gotten over it...and also some...sigh...really good memories that I really don't want to forget...and that might happen...if I need to convince myself to see myself as "God sees me"...or someone thinks He does...as a virgin in "spirit" or something...

Well, imho the author was not writing a doctrine on virginity. but, I think she was sharing her own perception of what happened to her when she was delivered from her sinful life. I don't see anything wrong with that.When we receive Jesus as Lord of our life, spiritually we are new creatures. She used virgin because of sexual sin that she had been delivered from. Each individual can use her article, insert their particular sin into it and it can edify anyone.
