Seven times a day I praise you (Psalm 119:164)

The Catholic Church sets aside seven hours each day for corporate prayer. The hours are
  1. Morning prayer
  2. Mid morning prayer
  3. Noon prayer
  4. After noon prayer
  5. Evening prayer
  6. Night prayer
  7. The office of readings
What's the tradition in your denomination?

Do you pray 24 hours each day?

By the way, the seven hours are for corporate prayer.

I try to be as we are called to be, which is living prayerfully every day all day. No need for tradition in that area, except for coming together on designated days for prayer. Once a month our church assembles for "Breakthrough Prayer".

That is encouraging. My parish assembles for corporate prayer every day, though it is usually Sundays that are the best attended.

We don't have to assemble daily to pray as we need to be in a prayerful attitude always. Coming together in small groups and praying together weekly and/or biweekly is also a great way for people in the Body of Christ to encourage each other and to come together, touching heaven with one purpose and one voice...and for hearing from God corporately.

It's more about who we are in Christ than what we do.

Corporate prayer and individual prayer are BOTH pleasing to God.

My church does not have a daily tradition for prayer, but there are suggested prayers we could use throughout the day which are nice.
