Ever been to a dine-in movie?

Yesterday my family used a bunch of gift cards and went to a dine-in movie theater to see Daddy's Home. The theater was small but that's because it had huge comfy chairs that rocked! Some of the other theater rooms had recliners! You look at the menu and push a button and your server comes out to take your order and brings it back to you. That's awesome!

I'm glad we had the gift cards though because the entire cost would have been over $60 for 3 of us! We didn't even choose meals but appetizers.

Yes. There are movie theaters around here that have rather luxurious, reclining seats with tables - and with table service. It's pretty common as a date venue. I've rarely ordered a meal.... but I have ordered wine. It's nice to have a CLEAN theater, nicer/quieter crowd, very comfy seats and yes - be able to order adult drinks and good food. But yes, it comes with a price.

I have been to one before, and while they can be pricey, the chairs normally comfort my wallet.

Yeah, and it sucked, lol. As a present one year I was taken to a movie theater where you could order meals and even beer beforehand and have them delivered to you while you watched the movie. The seats were comfortable, the movie was Lord of the Rings - the Fellowship of the Ring. That's all that was good about it. Having ushers frequently interrupt my movie experience by delivering food and drinks to various individuals in the theater sort of ruined it though.

That, and a need to pee after downing a few brews.

This dine-in offered beer too but I don't drink.

We were in the VERY front row and basically had it to ourselves so our waiter didn't get in our way I think maybe if we sat elsewhere the experience would have been different.

Moral of your story, drink the beer at the end of the movie!

I think if I go back to this theater that I'd like to try the reclining seats. That way if the movie is boring I'm in good napping position! LOL

What kind of food did they serve?

The one I went to mostly had burgers and some appetizers (which we had).

We're thinking of returning to see Star Wars this weekend since we found 2 more free movie tickets! yay
