I tend to lean most towards several genres of rock, but I also enjoy classical, bluegrass, blues, jazz. It really depends on my mood. :)

I was gonna ask you what impressionist music was and then remembered this isn't only a thread on music. I wonder what impressionist music would sound like don't you.

I listen to a wide variety of music but I voted Rock because I do listen to that the most out of the choices given.

As for singing or playing the flute, it's none of the above :D

Rimsky Korsakav is often classed as a "late Romantic period" composer - but some of his music is impressionistic, in my view. Good example would be:
although the term "impressionism" is often rather broadly defined as it relates to music. When I think of the term I think of "imitates life" or something in Nature.

Do you remember where you were when you first heard Flight of the Bumblebee? It's one of those experiences, eh?

I'm not sure. I had a record player when I was a kid, and some of the records my folks had contained orchestrated music from a variety of composers of past eras. My guess is probably then.

Choosing "Christian" was awkward for me. I like Christian rock/metal but "Christian music" covers everything from that to some musical genres I don't much care for.

I like classical as well. As a rule I like anything that has a sense of passion in it, which for me rules out just about every manufactured band of the last several years.
