Yes, I agree. I'd say because some of the KJV translators leaned towards some of the beliefs of the Catholic Church, that may be why they were included in the 1st edition.
"They" were included in all additions until around 1830.

The KJB came a long time after Luther, who translated the Bible into common German. The addition of the Apocryphal books in 1612 was not put into the Bible because the publishers and translators thought it was inspired by God directly but because it was part of an already existing canon.

Have you heard of the modern day (1990) Christian discovery that's not in the Bible but it's in the Apocryphal?
(More appropriately haven't found it in the Bible yet)

📜 2 Maccabees 2:4–8
Douay–Rheims (DRA)
4 It was also contained in the same writing, how the prophet, being warned by God, commanded that the tabernacle and the ark should accompany him, till he came forth to the mountain where Moses went up, and saw the inheritance of God.
5 And when Jeremias came thither he found a hollow cave: and he carried in thither the tabernacle, and the ark, and the altar of incense, and so stopped the door.
6 Then some of them that followed him, came up to mark the place: but they could not find it.
7 And when Jeremias perceived it, he blamed them, saying: The place shall be unknown, till God gather together the congregation of the people, and receive them to mercy.
8 And then the Lord will shew these things, and the majesty of the Lord shall appear, and there shall be a cloud as it was also shewed to Moses, and he shewed it when Solomon prayed that the place might be sanctified to the great God.

The discovery: The Arc of the Covenant has been found!

How do I know that this is true? It seems to make many claims that we are supposed to just accept even if they are not something that is supported by verifiable evidence and particularly fail to mention where or by whom claims of scientific investigation was done.

Considering the number of claims made, I would say it would be a quite long video to show anything approaching scientifically verifiable truth in support of it.. I'm not saying that it is definitely not truth, I'm just saying it falls far, far short of anything I can accept as true from hearsay sources.

FWIW, there is much more evidence for the authenticity of the Shroud of Turin being authentic and it has finally reached the point where I am willing to accept it as possibly real.

How it Started
In 1978, Ron Wyatt was walking along the Calvary Escarpment when something happened to him that only occurred once in his life. While walking with a member of the Israeli Department of Antiquities his left arm raised up and pointed to the escarpment and these words came out of his mouth, "That's Jeremiah's Grotto and the Ark of the Covenant is buried in there." Ron had no control of what he said, it was the Lord giving him those words to speak. This man then said, "That's wonderful! We will not only furnish you a permit, we'll put you up in a place to stay, have your laundry done and furnish your meals!"

Here's a written explanation when Ron entered the room with the Ark (10 years later):
When Ron first entered the cave, he noticed a dark substance that had dripped out of a crack in the ceiling directly above the Ark, onto the top of a stone sarcophagus, and down inside it. The Ark was in a large stone sarcophagus and the top or lid of the stone case had been broken and moved aside, allowing the dark substance inside. The dark substance that was on the ceiling had dripped onto the top of the stone case and down inside onto the golden lid or Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant.

It was at this moment that Ron realized the cross hole above communicated down to this cave below via a fissure in the bedrock, and had allowed a dark substance to fall on the Ark. Ron passed out, as he realized that dark substance was the actual blood of Jesus! Ron was unconscious for 45 minutes, exhausted from double pneumonia and hard work. Inside the cave were the other furnishings of the Mosaic tabernacle, including the golden candlestick, the table of showbread, the altar of incense, plus a large sword that may have belonged to Goliath, and other items. Stacked on top of everything were animal skins then boards, then stones.

jpcrucif3.jpg

The cut-outs in the escarpment behind the cross were apparently designed to hold signs relating to the person being executed. In this case they would have said, "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews," in Greek, Hebrew and Latin, and would have been on the cross too. Surrounding the crucifixion site is the foundation of a first century church, and within this is the 13 ft. diameter rolling stone used to seal the Garden Tomb. The cross hole that was used to crucify Christ has a large crack in the bedrock next to it which extends all the way down under the cross hole to a cave below.

The Ark of the Covenant had been secreted into this cave in 586 BC when the Babylonians had Jerusalem under siege (II Kings 25). Jeremiah and his assistants wished to hide the furnishings of the tabernacle from the pagan invaders. But in reality this was part of God's plan. If the Jews had accepted Christ as the Messiah, the Jews would have had possession of the Ark at the time of Christ and would have offered Jesus' blood as the final sacrifice and would have placed His blood on the Ark. But God knew they would not accept His Son, so He had His own plan arranged to place the blood of His Son on the Most Holy, the Ark of the Covenant. When Christ died, "the rocks were rent," creating the crack in the bedrock leading down into the cave below. A Roman soldier speared Christ's left side, causing blood and water to flow through the crack into the cave below. The lid of the stone case containing the Ark of the Covenant, was broken and moved aside allowing Christ's blood to flow directly onto the Mercy Seat of the Ark. At this moment type met antitype. Both the old and new covenants were ratified by the blood of Jesus. The ceremonial system which looked forward to Christ's sacrifice, came to an end. At that moment the large, thick veil in the temple was torn by God from top to bottom and the sacrificial Passover lamb escaped, as Jesus was the final sacrifice.

Mr. Wyatt's last visit
In Mr. Wyatt's last visit to the cave he was stunned to see all the rock, boards, and other unnecessary items removed. The furnishings were placed in their proper configuration. Heavenly messengers had cleaned out the cave. The wall in back of the Ark is pure crystal and reflects all the colors of the rainbow. (The heavenly Ark has a rainbow over it.) After seeing the cave cleaned out, Ron's thoughts turned to considering how to open the ark and retrieve the Ten Commandments. This would be a difficult task since the five ft. tall angels and the Mercy Seat were solid gold and would weigh approximately 500 pounds. At this point four angels appeared next to the Ark, but they were in the form of men. They asked Ron to position his video camera to film what was to happen next. The four angels lifted up the top of the Ark and said, "Reach in, take the Ten Commandments out. When a world-wide law is passed forcing men to violate the Law of God, then they will be shown to mankind." Mr. Wyatt handed the 10 C's to one of the angels who placed them on a shelf in the cave along with the video showing their removal. The Ten Commandments are on two tablets of stone and have writing on both sides. They are written in Proto-Aramaic. One of the angels told Ron to take a sample of Christ's blood and have it analyzed.

Testing the Blood
Mr. Wyatt removed a sample of Christ's blood from the Mercy Seat of the Ark in the cave and paid a lab in Israel to do an analysis of the blood. They put the dark dried-out substance in saline solution for 72 hours. Mr. Wyatt asked them to do a chromosome test, but they informed him that he was wasting his money since you can't do a chromosome test on dead white blood cells. They proceeded with the analysis and said, "It's your money." As they began viewing the cells under the electron microscope, they saw cells dividing before their eyes! They could tell it was human blood, but "This blood is alive!" They couldn't believe what they were seeing! They continued with their tests and found the blood to be unique from any other human blood! Each cell contained only 24 chromosomes compared to the normal count of 46 that you and I have. Christ received 23 chromosomes from Mary, and one "y" chromosome from His heavenly Father to designate a male child. Others in the lab were asked to come see for themselves. With tears in their eyes they asked whose blood this was, and Mr. Wyatt replied, "It is the blood of your Messiah." Then they asked who the Messiah was. They began wailing and shouting. No other male human being has ever had this same chromosome count! Christ's blood is alive and unique to prove His divinity to the world before He returns to this earth.

This type of answer is one I generally associate with Christian Identity, is that your stand or did you mean something else?

Do you believe the Ashkenazi who are the predominant Jews in Israel today as well as throughout the world are the true Jews of prophecy or that they are not?

If not, then who are true Jews from your POV?

Here we go with labels now, when it is pretty obvious that you are coming from the realm of SDA or Jehovah Witness which wrongly believes Jesus was created.

No, I am not... a member of any such Christian Identity group. I even wonder where that label even started from, and by whom? I must assume it was started by unbelieving Jews, since you mention those connections with Jews above.

What I have shown that Lord Jesus said in Revelation 2:9 and 3:9 that those two Churches realized those who only SAY... they are Jews, but ARE NOT, and are the "synagogue of Satan", is BIBLE SCRIPTURE. So now you want to try and SCRAP what Jesus said there??? What Jesus showed in His parable of the "tares" of the field, I'd bet you'd like to SCRAP that Matthew 13 Scripture by Jesus also! Showing your colors are you maybe?

Rev 2:8-9
8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich)
and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
KJV

Rev 3:7-9
7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith He That is holy, He That is true, He that hath the key of David, He That openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept My word, and hast not denied My name.

9 Behold, I will make
them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

The TRUE JEWS, is as The Bible reveals, plainly I might say too.

Do you need someone to explain to you the MEANING of Christ's parable of the "tares" of the field in Matthew 13? First He gave the parable, but then later when He and His disciples went into the house in private, they asked Him to explain the parable, and He told them the EXPLANATION. That explanation is the meaning, not another metaphor or parable. Do you need someone to help you with that?

Do you need someone to explain to you about the Kenite peoples who were of the land of Canaan which later became Israel's scribes in charge of keep copies of God's written Word?

Do you need someone to explain to you how king Herod was a Jew, yet he was born of the seed of Esau?

Do you need someone to explain to you that Apostle Paul said he was Jew, born of the seed of Benjamin, when the title of Jew is derived solely from the tribe of Judah?

Do you need someone to explain to you about God's splitting old Israel in Solomon's day into two separate kingdoms, with only 2 tribes following the tribe of Judah at Jerusalem as the "house of Judah" and "kingdom of Judah", compared with the northern ten tribes that made the northern "house of Israel" and "kingdom of Israel" under one of the tribe of Ephraim?

What about Judges 2 & 3, Joshua 9, and 1 Kings 9 about the Canaanite nations which Israel failed to destroy per God's commandment, and they dwelt among the children of Israel, and even some of them later became temple servants to the Levites called Nethinims? Have you missed that too from God's written Word, or are those taboo subjects in the kind of church you trust?

I'm really not all that smart, so just tell me in the simplest of terms, If I go to Israel today am I seeing the true Jews inhabiting it as the majority of the population or not?

(a hint, the simplest of terms here would be yes or no)

No, of course not.

And how could you even think that, since there are many Jews in the world that were not born of the seed of Israel that at some point CONVERTED to Judaism?

So there are true Israelites born of the seed of Israel, and then are foreigners that became religious Jews.

But evidently, you wrongly think anyone who calls their self a Jew means they were born of the seed of Israel? NO! That kind of thinking is ludicrous.

Now the thing about the "synagogue of Satan" that Jesus said about those who only CLAIM to be Jews, but LIE, and are not, those are about the "crept in unawares"...

Jude 4
4 For
there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
KJV

Can you read that above in red? God has ORDAINED certain men "crept in unawares" to that condemnation of working against Lord God and Lord Jesus Christ. Like how God hardened Pharaoh's heart in Egypt during the time when God led the children of Israel out of Egypt, so these also He ordained to work the negative side of His Plan. That's what their being "ordained" to that condemnation means.

Those also represent these "tares" here...

Matt 13:36-43
36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and His disciples came unto Him, saying, "Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field."
37 He answered and said unto them, "He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom;
but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
41 The Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
KJV

The above is Lord Jesus' EXPLANATION of His parable of the tares of the field that He gave earlier in that Matthew 13 Chapter. Those who don't understand it will fail to understand what this present world is about.

The idea of "tares" in real nature is about a weed that while growing looks just like good wheat. It hides within the real wheat while its growing. The servant notices the tares growing though, and asks his master if he wants to harvest early, and his master says no, lest by mistake you harvest some of the good wheat by mistake. But to wait until harvest time, then harvest, and take the wheat and put it in his barn, but throw the tares in the fire.

Jesus is letting us know by that parable about the existence of Satan's elect here on earth that are here to work the negative side of God's Plan, i.e., the "crept in unawares", those who CLAIM to be Jews, but are not, and are the "synagogue of Satan." They represent Christ's and His Church's main enemy on earth today.

Thus we (Christ's Church) are to recognize them, and watch their fruit, but don't try to destroy them, for Jesus will take care of that when He returns. Because Jesus mentioned them ONLY to those two Churches of Smyrna and Philadelphia, it means they recognized those "tares", and were watchful and on guard spiritually, and thus were able to keep His Word. The other five Churches all had problems in them, and Jesus did not mention that "synagogue of Satan" to them, suggesting they didn't know about the "tares".

So there it is, right there in Matthew 13 within Jesus' parable of the tares of the field, and very few Christian brethren understand about them.

This puts you among those saying that what we call the Jews today are not the true Jews, most all of which say that the real Jews are their specific ethnic group (I.E. Nordic whites (Christian Identity, African originated Blacks ( Black Hebrew Israelites) the Arians (German Positive Christianity or the Völkisch movement which is rooted in 1930's German political religious belief, British Israelism from the 1600's that believed the British Monarchy was the true lineage of David and sat on his throne, etc.

FWIW, all of these beliefs are in one way or another centered around the Khazar theory, look it up if you desire to know more about it. For that matter look up each of these movements and see which you agree with and which you disagree with and why you think that way.

I am non-denominational also, but raised in a mainstream Protestant Church. My ancestors were French Protestants that came to the Americas when fleeing Catholic persecution in France. The reason I am non-denominational is because of the doctrines of men I discovered in mainstream Churches once I got down to disciplined study in God's written Word via The Holy Spirit. God put that urge to study in me. I asked Him for it.

Well, FIY... I don't say all the Jews are not true Jews. If you want to claim... I do, then that would make you a LIAR. And if you claim Lord Jesus did not point to false Jews of the "synagogue of Satan" in Rev.2 and Rev.3, then that would make you LIAR again, and against what Jesus Himself said in His Word.

Per the Jewish historian Josephus (100 A.D.) in his Antiquities of The Jews, he showed that the remnant of Jews that went captive to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar and returned to Jerusalem, called themselves JEWS. He also said all those strangers that returned with them, and that lived in the southern holy lands of Judea also took that title of JEW. Josephus also said that title Jew originated from the sole tribe of Judah.

I agree with The Bible as written, what I have shown you, but YOU... instead have gone off on tangents as if you are on some Holocaust quest! Shame on you!

BRETHREN IN CHRIST:

Satan's children of darkness don't like being exposed, yet God's Word does... expose them, if... one actually heeds what is written, like what Jesus especially taught in His parable of the "tares" in Matthew 13, and about the FAKE Jews of the "synagogue of Satan" per Revelation 2 and Revelation 3.

Don't fear them, for the little firebrand they serve is soon to be locked in his pit prison when Lord Jesus returns on the future "day of the Lord." Deception is their main ploy for the end, as shown about the locusts of Revelation 9 and the Book of Joel. And one of their many methods to try and accomplish that is in attempts to label Christ's disciples who KEEP HIS WORD as the enemy. It's like if you don't heed their false religious doctrines of men, then they claim you are not a real Christian. It's the other way around; they are not real... Christians because THEY do not follow what is written in God's Word. They only know how to 'play' church and try to gain power and money from congregations.

Oh ............. Just tell me who you believe the true Jews are today, not several thousand years ago.

That will make everything clear in my mind as to what you believe and espouse as truth and whether or not I can be in agreement with you.

That will make everything clear in my mind as to what you believe and espouse as truth and whether or not I can be in agreement with you.

I don't have to put up with you stupid antics. Welcome to my IGNORE LIST.

I think I need to explain further what's going on with these Jude 4 crept in unawares that have been trying to influence God's written Word, particularly by the Alexandria, Egypt school which did the Greek Septuagint translation of the Hebrew Old Testament.
This is wrong for a number of reasons. The Jews had been reading the Septuagint for over 200 years before Jesus existed, and Paul and the rest of the New Testament authors used the Septuagint translation.

I think based on this fact alone, everything else you said is wrong.

Apostle Paul didn't follow the Alexandria school. Paul was a Jew, and a Hebrew scholar of The Old Testament brought up by the best Hebrews scholar of his day, Gamaliel. So Paul didn't need the Septuagint, he spoke 'street' Greek, the Greek of the people, and did not rely on the Septuagint, so I don't know where in the world you got that idea.

Obviously then, what you... are saying, is what is wrong. Try harder next time.

You can check out the facts for yourself. The Jews of Jesus' day were reading the Septuagint. That is a fact.

Oh, and I thought you said Apostle Paul used the Old Testament Septuagint?

You said:

Good luck trying to prove that. When Jesus taught His Apostles, He often spoke in Aramaic, which is NOT from the Septuagint. Aramaic was Jesus' main language.

Furthermore, the only Greek manuscripts existing of the Septuagint, Codex Vaticanus, and Codex Sinaiticus, are debated and only go back to the 4th century A.D., and the Codex Alexandrinus only goes back to the 5th century A.D.

The New Testament consistently treats the Old Testament as authoritative Scripture while engaging with it through the linguistic and interpretive lens of the Septuagint (LXX), the Greek translation widely used in the first‑century Mediterranean world; its authors quote the LXX more often than the Hebrew text, sometimes because the Greek wording more clearly supports a christological reading, and sometimes because it reflects the version familiar to their audiences, yet they still present the Old Testament—regardless of linguistic form—as a unified, divinely inspired witness that finds its fulfilment in Jesus, with the LXX functioning not as a rival canon but as the practical textual vehicle through which that witness is expressed.

In short, Christians used the LXX, quoted it in scripture, and relied upon it as sacred scripture. The Books in the topic of this thread are all present in the LXX thus Christians in the first centuries AD were using the books mentioned as scripture.
