For my birthday/Christmas combo, I got a new laptop so that I can have Windows 11 and have security updates. Well, Costco had the best deal online, so I bought from them, but it was either pay the 5% fee or become a member (which was the cheaper option), so we became members for the first time ever. We went there today to get our cards since we're so busy the rest of the year, we simply have no time to go together.

We looked around and got some cheese for my Christmas party and then a rotisserie chicken ($4.99 wow). My husband wanted to get more, but I had to hold him back and explain to him why we should hold back until January (Christmas bills).

I joined Costco several years ago because their pharmacy beats anything else I can find by a long shot, it actually paid for the membership in my first order in savings.

Overall, Costco seems to have some decent, but rarely great, pricing on higher end brand name products with their Kirkland brand usually being a bargain priced label for the brand name it mimics (It's the same product in Kirkland packaging).

YouTube has oodles of Costco video's to the extent that it almost makes Costco look like a cult

I had a friend come to visit and bought us a huge package of toilet paper and it was really good! We were going to buy some yesterday, but I didn't want to have a big credit card bill on top of buying Christmas gifts.

Was it worth the money for that? I saw that they have a department set up and I've never heard from anyone who has used it yet.
