20 or so Israeli hostages are back home. That's something to be happy about. It is a terrible pity that close to 70,000 Palestinians died before it happened; even more of a pity that the IDF killed them all.

One hopes that there will be no more war there. Time will tell.

What would Jesus say about it?

There will never be any significant period of peace in the middle east prior to the return of Jesus, and Jesus said we should expect wars and rumors of wars.

But maybe the prophecies are wrong and man will achieve peace of his own accord without divine help.

Blessed are the peacemakers.
