There are powers that people can tap into that will, up to a point, give them what they want.

The Bible explicitly tells us not to tap into such powers.

NO, it's a delusion that comes from demons. They think it is coming from themselves or their unconscious mind through the power of attraction and all that junk. It's junk. Stay away from it for your own health and sanity.
