The US has become a surveillance State, So. Cal, New York, and many cities have motorized cameras on street traffic lights and freeways, word is the systems have facial and liscense plate recognition

They are talking about making a National data base in the US on American citizens health records, not a good thing?

Don't forget cell phone traking using a citizen's camera and microphone, and the public is paying to allow them to do it?

All that surveillance intended to, presumably, solve problems of public order and safety yet public order and safety continues to become increasingly worse.

It should be obvious that if we only have more of it, it will finally work and we will be safe again.

l have little to no faith in those we have put in charge of ourselves.

But maybe I've just become jaded in my old age.

I Somewhat Agree, Hopefully President Trump And Congress Will Stop The Surveillance State, Don't Hold Your Breath On It?
But maybe I've just become jaded in my old age.

That was a sarcasm directed at the common leftist reaction to their policy failures simply needing doing more of what failed to make them work.

Gun control is an example, along with 'hate crime" continuously being expanded and redefined and so on (its pretty much standard procedure for them. It's pretty much an all pervasive thing when their policies fail to accomplish what they claimed they would.

To be fair, the right seems to be moving in that direction lately as well so they're not exactly immune to the procedure.
