Great White Throne Judgment:
- This judgment is for those who have rejected God's offer of salvation through Jesus Christ.
- They will be judged based on their deeds and face eternal consequences for their unbelief.
- Revelation 20:11-15 describes this event.
God will show judgement and reavel why everything was and the choices you made and why things happen. God does not make mistakes and he is perfect.
Because of men's fleshy doctrines taught in most Churches, they fail to actually understand about the implied 2nd resurrection and those of the Revelation 20:5 verse.
Most believe those of Rev.20:5 that live not again until the "thousand years" is over, is about a 2nd resurrection of those who will be judged to perish, much like what you wrote about God's Great White Throne Judgment.
But here are Biblical factors that must be considered:
1. on the day of Christ's future coming, on the "day of the Lord", the "last trump", all still alive on earth will be changed to the body of incorruption, a "spiritual body".
Paul revealed this in 1 Corinthians 15, and he was also pulling from Isaiah 25 where he quoted the death swallowed up in victory idea. It hints at the casting off of the flesh of this present world. The wicked dead will be resurrected to that body of incorruption also, because that body is what the resurrection is about (John 5:28-29). It's not popularly taught, but in the Greek of 1 Cor.15:53-54 Paul covered that the future change will involve 2 different changes, not just one. One is from the corruptible body (flesh) to the "spiritual body", and the other is of "this mortal", the soul, that must put on "immortality" in Christ Jesus. Paul used 4 different Greek words there. The term "this mortal" means 'liable to die', and that will be the state of the wicked while they too will have a body of incorruption, yet their souls will still not have put on immortality by Faith on Jesus Christ. They will remain in that kind of unsaved state throughout Christ's "thousand years" reign.
Now those who have already died are already in their spirit body in the heavenly dimension. Paul showed Jesus will bring those dead in Christ with Him from heaven when He descends to the earth, per 1 Thess.4:13-16.
2. Those who convert to Jesus Christ during the "thousand years" must be tested. They will be tested immediately after the 1,000 when Satan is loosed from his pit prison to go deceive the nations one final time. Many of the nations will be deceived and will follow Satan to go up against the "camp of the saints" on earth. God will rain fire down upon them from Heaven.
Then the Great White Throne Judgment will happen, and the Book of Life opened to see if there are any names written in it. This is not a judgment upon Christ's elect that reign with Him for the "thousand years", as they already at Christ's coming will be among the Just. So why... would the Book of Life be opened and checked if all those judged at this point perish in the lake of fire? This is about a 2nd resurrection LIKE... the 1st resurrection. Well, what KIND of resurrection is the 1st resurrection? The first resurrection is unto Eternal Life through Faith on Jesus Christ. Likewise the 2nd implied resurrection will be also. There will be converts to Christ throughout His "thousand years" reign. Preaching The Gospel to those who never had opportunity to hear will be one of our main jobs as priests reigning with Christ in that time. Like Peter said, God is long suffering, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Thus men's doctrine about the Great White Throne Judgment with those "dead" who 'stand' in judgment then being just so their acts during this world can be judged and cast them into the lake of fire, is just a show of men's fleshy hard-hearted mind, like a revenge gesture. But that is not actually what God's Word is showing in that Rev.20 Chapter.
