It's evil because sin is in it. It's evil because people and culture have babylon and they don't get it, it's sin.

It is evil because way back in the Garden man made the choice to decide for himself what is right and wrong, following Satan and his temptations rather than God and his laws.

The world is so evil, @Holy999, because when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, they became self-centered instead being God-centered and passed that selfish evil down to all the generations that followed.

Apostle John in 1 John 3:8 said sin is of the devil, for he sinned from the "beginning".

I thus surprised that so few have taken the time to study God's parables about Lucifer's original first rebellion in coveting God's Throne, wanting to be God. See Ezekiel 28 about the "king of Tyrus" where God used him as a type for Satan. See Isaiah 14 about Lucifer as God uses the king of Babylon as a type for Lucifer and his rebellion of old.

Before Lucifer's sin, there was no sin. So the sin by Adam and Eve was only the first sin of the FLESH. But the actual very first... sin, was by Lucifer when he coveting God's Throne which was his job to guard.

Satan's sin did not affect the world like Adam and Eve's sin...that was the one that affected mankind.

This brings to mind the question of if Satan had not sinned would Adam have sinned?

In light of this might it not be considered that Adams sin is really an extension of Satan's sin and under his direction?

Brain-- evil thoughts
Experience-- evil actions
Memory-- guilt
Pain-- consequences

I think your analysis is spot on-- and for the prisoners, that's the reality of the prison yard.

"unforgiveness" and "rush" are the cause and effect of those circumstances. We don't forgive and we can never forget. "Ain't nobody got time for that" -as the saying goes. So we rush to our own detriment, ultimately to our own demise.

Satan's sin "in the beginning" like Apostle John said, is the reason... for this present world of sin and death. There is no salvation in the flesh, as God ordained even Adam and Eve as being subject to death. And if that assignment to sin that Satan originally created had never happened then God's Plan of Salvation through His Son's coming in the flesh to die on the cross would never have happened.

Heb 2:14-15
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
KJV

1 John 3:8
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
KJV

But it was Adam & Eve's sin that threw mankind into the dangers of going to hell. We need a Savior because Adam and Eve fell.
