I;m not certain but I believe that in the time of David dancing was done for worship and celebration and men and women did not dance with each other but were separated while dancing.
Dancing today is pretty much a sexually oriented activity and bears consideration in that light IMO. (that's not judging it as good or bad, just recognizing it for what it is.).

Dancing today can be a sexually oriented activity. It's perfectly possible to dance without flaunting yourself inappropriately, or indeed hoping for inappropriate attention from others.
