Do you find it's harder to lose weight as you age? Are you eating less as you get older, but not losing weight? Do you find that you want to eat different kinds of foods from when you were younger?

The problem is usually that both activity levels and metabolism decline faster than eating which leaves you effectively eating more than you think you are in relation to the amount you actually need.

The usual thing that happens next is that you either try dieting or just accept getting fat.

Dieting is useless for the most part since it doesn't have any real impact on long term activity levels, food choices, or activity levels. Weight gain, believe it or not, is the result of eating more fat making calories than you burn on a daily basis.

There are other ways, easy ones that are almost effortless, that do work and will result in a permanent change that will give lasting weight control.

A psychological thing called habituation is what we deal with when doing this.

I still want to eat more or less anything that stays still long enough. Running helps stop my waistline from expanding to something more consistent with this desire.
