I've decided to stop waiting until I fit a "template" and pray for God's providence instead. Recently three couples younger than me and one single gent younger than me, started to warm to me. If I'm open to any guidance, and if I get them to pray as well, then perhaps! Who knows! Because life doesn't work out, with not enough company.
I think a huge amount of harm got done worldwide, by the "theology of the body" (i.e materialistic obsession for misusing the media for Holy Spiritless moralising) of the 1980s. Also from the late 1960s onwards when officialdom started promoting (typically) boys "targetting" girls outside intent at marriage (now become a practical reason to move relatively slowly in abortion reforms).
Basically the total world public hasn't any idea how to relate except intrusively and impersonally. Hence we have to all invent totally fresh rationale for ourselves, without steep and unnecessary requirements.
Just as a random example, since religion culturally monopolised marriage, it doesn't belong to secular agnostics of good will any more. Separate beds never were immoral for any private reason without asking church permission. Registry offices and civil partnerships are good ideas.
If you want your friends to pray you a blessing make sure any off duty clergy members take their dog collars off first.
If only singles may reply I'd like you all to pile in please! Is there a place where couples can join in as well?
