What's being preached is s lie. One of two things will happen. Either one will think they cannot live up to the standard and be burdened. Or one will convince themselves that their sin isn't as great as it really is. Both deny the gospel. Both are wicked.
Burden is temporary, and lifted upon acceptance of the will of God and the direction there of.

Sin is sin. That's not what we are to focus on. You are to love others as you love God. You are to love God without condition as he loves you. If your love is without condition then your direction. under God will naturally be without condition as well. The only damning thing I have seen here is people claiming that scripture, the word of God, and the teachings of the Crist condone sin as to not burden people. That's some twisted stuff there. We we're cast out of paradise and made to toil on this earthly plane for the extent of our physical life. But you insist that we are to go against the very guidance of God so we can be comfortable here. Not gonna say what that sounds like or where it comes from, but it isn't of the narrow path. Does it not say that few will enter for the true path is narrow?

Does it not say that the ones who consider themselves the children of God will be cast out?

The word hypocrite comes to mind.

Matthew 7 (KJV) - ማቴዎስ
1: Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2: For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3: And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Matthew 7 (KJV) - ማቴዎስ
4: Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5: Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
6: Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
Matthew 7 (KJV) - ማቴዎስ
7: Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9: Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
Matthew 7 (KJV) - ማቴዎስ
10: Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11: If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
12: Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Matthew 7 (KJV) - ማቴዎስ
13: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15: Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Matthew 7 (KJV) - ማቴዎስ
16: Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17: Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18: A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Matthew 7 (KJV) - ማቴዎስ
19: Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20: Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7 (KJV) - ማቴዎስ
22: Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23: And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24: Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Matthew 7 (KJV) - ማቴዎስ
25: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26: And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Matthew 7 (KJV) - ማቴዎስ
27: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28: And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

Peace

Faith in selfless Unity for Good.

so your saying that the bible is a lie .. that Jesu did not set any one free from the power of sin .. he failed in your eyes .. that is rather sad if we cannot believe this rather foundations turth because you say the truth is a lie ? i don't think you actually believe your own words -i certainly hope you do not .

i know JEsus came to set us free ,not leave us enslaved -he has proven this in my life by setting me free .., where before i could not seem to break away and kept returning to sin.. and in that state did not truly know him - now he set me free so that he enabled me to totally cease from practicing it ,so free that i never have to practice it ever again . it is not that i cant practices it but that i do not have to serve it anymore .. i'm free to serve god .. if i use that freedom to serve sin ,only the fearful judgment of god awaits me . this is written this is true .

be careful what you cal a lie because by doing so you imply the entire bible is a lie and Jesus failed to do what he came to do . and he did not

How long is everlasting life?

really ..you think God will eternally put up with sin in heaven .. ?

seems he disagrees with you .

The cup of the indignation of god runs over and he judges and utterly destroys the wicked for they rebellion and sin - what ,shock ! God has a cup and how much it puts up with has a limit .

i find it woefully troubling how easily you completely ignore the direct word of god -

see what is plainly written for even children to understand
..... "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.
Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister." -

of course as with all scripture john is not alone in expressing this under the inspiration of the holy ghost ..
paul writes to the corinthians and also says the same ."..... Let’s feast and drink, for tomorrow we die!”[g] 33 Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.” 34 Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all.

we cannot abide in Christ ... and sin at the same time . so if we sin it is simply evidence that we have left off abiding in christ in order to go and practice sin . we cannot serve two masters at the same time .. jesus said so . i happen to believe him .. i hope more will repent and believe him also .

That is true. Thankfully Jesus covers me in His righteousness.

of course he does .. and sets us free fro sin..
when he covers you in his righteousness does he do it so that you can then go and sin again ? or so that you can remain free from it ? and not serve it any more knowing that it brings death .

For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has spurned the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?

repentance is a constant state of being turned to and following JEsus .. not a one of incident

and if we are truly covered in his righteousness that will be made evident by what John sates in 1 john 3 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning.
The Law says sin no more.

The Gospel says we are forgiven.

Isn't that easy enough?

The gospel also says those who love me will obey me and it also says that Jesus told the woman caught in adultry to go and sin no more.

The Law tells us what we are to do and not do. The Gospel us what the Lord does. You are mixing Law and Gospel. Even 3rd use of the Law is still Law. Some verses in scripture contain both Law and Gospel in the same sentence. We shouldn't try to call Law Gospel because each have a purpose.

The Law says sin no more.

The Gospel says we are forgiven.

Isn't that easy enough?

we are forgiven.. but we are not forgiven so that we can then turn back from following the lord JEsus in obedience to him and sin and then keep on sinning ..

How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has spurned the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?... you do realize that this text in italics is not me speaking ..it is direct scripture .

you see as i keep pointing out ,im not sharing something made up from my own mine as some have accused ..im sharing direct scripture written under inspiration of the holy ghost to disciples of the Lord Jesus by the Apostles . it is plainly evident that ceasing from sin is the full expectation of a disciple of the lord jesus and Not ceasing from sin is full evidence that they are not truly a disciple of the lord Jesus .

they are like a christmas tree .. cut of from the trunk they look green for a while then all that is left are fancy decorations covering a dead tree . they are full of many fine words but dead trees do not produce fruit .no one is healed by them ,none saved ,no gospel preached, none delivered, none baptised no new disciples made ...no fruit .. god for nothing but to be gathered up and burned .

No one has said to return to sin.

The Law tells us not to.

But the Gospel still tells us we're forgiven.

If we return to sin too much that we end up rejecting His forgiveness, that's when we damn ourselves.

There is no need to speak of sin.

One curse that we all learned early is our nakedness.

Now meditate Day, and Night deeply on this

and ONE will mediate.

We have to speak of sin. The Law demands it. Sin goes against God and the Law is a mirror, curb and guide. Yet, it always accuses which is why people don't want to hear it.

Amen! But I've found that those who DO speak of it - often water it down and exempt themselves... "YOU horrible, terrible, hell-bound, anti-Christian SINNER who dances! I'm saintly, I'm Christian, I only square dance... Jesus loves me!"

What Jesus said was BE PERFECT! Be HOLY just as GOD is holy! Love just as Jesus did/does! Make disciples of EVERYONE! Simple: is all that done.... or not?

When we pay attention to what JESUS said (rather than the self-righteous, all-other condemning, watered down substitutions), there is ONE and ONLY ONE appropriate response: Lord have mercy on ME - the sinner.

there is simply zero scriptural validation for this stance.never ever ever will or can the holy spirit lead any
one into sin.that believiers sin is a tradgedy and if it happens there is forgivness as soon as it is repented of.but if we go back and repeat it..that is evidence we have not repented.it mocks the blood of christ.

grace does not give allowance for sin..the grace of god is displayed in christ to cause us to be free from the power of sin so that we arecenabeld by his power to repent..not keep doing it. no deciple of jesus continues to practice sin.this is how we know who is actrue deciple.John states it very plainly..as do the letters to hebrews ,corinthians etc.absolutley .no where is allowance for sin even implied and we must not ever imply it either.

lets leave aside that you have just accused the apostles of all that judgmental list.as if you go back you will see i have been quoting them all along.
and look at the mercy of God. he showed this mercy by sending christ to free us.from hell?no..from sin which leads to death and hell. To not remind all that Jesus said repentance for the forgivness of sin is to be preached is not watering anything down and it is love to remibd all.that we may act on it and repent and live.
the groom comes for a bride without spot and without blemish. the scriprues states that those who have this hope keep themselves pure.showing it is our own choice ftom within the wonderous freedom jesus has purchasef for us , that we sin or do not sin.and sin is a blemish.and his bride he comes for has No blemish .so repent.

to not like the topic is to be as one who does not want light shined on the topic.but jesus said if we love god ee come to the light that our works might be exposed as to what kind of works they really are.

With all due respect, IMO you have been (sort of) quoting the LAW while ignoring the Gospel.... but watering it down and applying it to all but you.

Matthew 5:48 is what JESUS said. You must be PERFECT. Are you (that's a "yes" or "no" question - not complicated)? IF not, then you don't keep the law - you are a sinner. Even now (as a Christian). Now, since you choose to ignore the Gospel - apply the condemnations you give to others to yourself. IMO, if you do: there is ONE and yes ONLY EXCLUSIVELY ONE appropriate response. To fall on your knees and cry, "Lord be MERCIFUL to ME, the sinner." And yes..... until you become PERFECT (in morality, love, service and obedience)..... HOLY exactly as much as God is..... until you prove Paul wrong who said "NO ONE is righteous, not NOT EVEN ONE".... until you trump Paul who declared that "I am the CHIEF OF SINNERS" .... until then, IMO, you are with all the rest of us (past and present; Christian or otherwise): SINNERS, who must fall to our knees and cry "Lord, have MERCY on me - the sinner."

When God brings you to your knees (by the Law), He then can lift you to heaven (by the Gospel). But you seem "stuck" with the first part.... in the same way as the Pharisees where in Jesus' day.

Protestants affirm that we are BOTH saints and sinners (fully - at the same time) and will remain so until we enter Heaven. Sinners because we sin. Saints because God has mercy on us and forgives us through the blood of the Lamb.

Where there is no sin, there is no grace or mercy (nor need for such).

For one who is perfect (I'm still waiting to meet such a person - maybe it's you).... all that is needed is justice. Not Christ. Not the Cross. Not the Blood. Not mercy. Not grace. Not love. Not faith. Not Christianity. You simply look to God, stick your chest out and proclaim: I'm the perfect one - just like You. And if you are right, God ushers you into heaven. And if not, you go over with the Pharisees.

Trying to be perfect in order to get into heaven denies Jesus and His death for you.

If you don't have faith that you will be taken to heaven based on Jesus then is that Christianity you are a part of or something else? No one I know can be perfect just like Josiah and Lambikens both say. You just keep on trying and your flaws will be pointed to you over and over. You keep making claims that people are saying stuff that they aren't and maybe if you went back and read their stuff instead if just becoming all defensive and thinking no one knows scripture but you then you might learn something about Jesus and the truth.
