My dad has a wireless mouse and the left click button doesn't always do what it's supposed to. I noticed I had to hold down and click slowly instead of my normal pace to get it to work correctly. Is there something that can be adjusted for that, or is the mouse going out?

Maybe a bit of crud under the button? Or maybe it needs new batteries?

I'm using the same wireless mouse I've had for well over a decade now so unless he's a very heavy user of that button, or he's using a hideously cheap mouse, I wouldn't expect it to be a permanent failure.

New Batteries didn't help. I think it's a Microsoft one?

If batteries don't fix it and it's a reasonable quality mouse it could be you've got a bit of crud under the button, or maybe a dodgy connection inside it.

Realistically speaking it's probably easier to get a new mouse but if you're like me and hate being defeated by something like that, maybe open it up and look for a dodgy connection around the button on the circuit board. It might be something you can fix with a soldering iron and a bit of fiddling, if one of you is that way inclined?

I'm no longer at his house and he might have a wired mouse to use until he sees if he really needs another wireless. Thanks!
