Migrants buying cars

The trend follows an emerging underground economy in which migrants say they desperately need vehicles to build their new lives, but in a place that makes it practically impossible for them to own or drive them legally. So many risk the threat of arrest.

So they are living off our tax dollars for their every need. Buying cars for cash to get to jobs where they are working under the table for money to send home. And obviously all of these agencies helping to assist them see no problem with any of this. It is too hard for them, it takes too long, most don't qualify for asylum and they know this too so let's let them stay and break our laws, cost taxpayers even more money when they wreck the vehicles the taxpayers are driving who need that vehicle to get to that job, to pay their taxes and insurance and feed their families while the illegals are being provided with free housing, food medical and sending their money back to their country,

Ah, but the liberals claim that the illegals are paying taxes. The ones who work on the farms around where I live do not...and they drive, illegally. They get into accidents and beg to walk away without responsibility. I mean, if you break one law, what does it matter if you keep breaking more?

It's sometimes hard to know if illegal immigrants are paying taxes. It's easy to see how working for cash under the table would mean they aren't but if they "borrow" a real SSN they potentially could sign up and work, pay taxes, but the benefits of the taxes accrue to the person whose SSN they "borrowed". A lot would depend on the employer I suppose.

People driving without a license and insurance isn't good. In some ways it's arguably part of the price of living in a society that can barely function without a motor vehicle - someone who can't pass a test, or is disqualified from driving, or can't get as far as taking a test because they don't have any right to be here will probably find a way to get behind the wheel because they lack any other viable way to get around. Short of imposing severe punishments on people who do such things there's only so much anyone can do about it. The person looking to buy a car with cash and no questions needs to find someone willing to sell a car for cash without asking questions.

As Lamb said, once you start breaking rules it matters less and less if you break more rules. Maybe enforcing immigration rules might be a good place to start, you never know.
