It was just one lone Jew's refusal to give Haman the respect his position
deserved that almost caused the total annihilation of Moses' people in the book of
Esther. Her uncle Mordecai is often portrayed as a hero, but in reality he's an
extremely poor role model for Christians to follow.
● Rom 13:7 . . Give everyone what you owe him . . . if respect, then respect; if
honor, then honor.
Christians don't have to particularly like the folks in high places-- in point of fact
they might thoroughly disgust us and deeply offend our sensibilities; but we still
have to afford them the dignity that God requires in compliance with Rom 13:1-5.
For example: tearing up a US President's state of the union address, banning him
from social media platforms, censoring his comments, falsely accusing him of
colluding with America's enemies, revising existing laws with which to prosecute
him ex post facto, and/or impeaching him contrary to Constitutional law, etc, etc,
is not the Christian way; so don't let Christ catch you participating in those kinds
of impious behaviors.

Don't persecute the Jews, even when they are under the judgement of God. (Esther 7:10-8:1) (Est. 8:11) (Est. 9:5-11)
This historical record of the book of (Esther) takes place while the Jews were under the captivity of Persia. (Est. 1:3) And the unique thing about the book of (Esther) is that God is never mentioned in it. Even when God's people are under His judgement, He watches over them.
Also, it is characteristic of God to cause the enemies of His people to suffer the same fate they planned against His people. David prayed for it. (Ps. 35:7-8) (Ps. 7:15-16) So it was with Haman. (Est. 7:10)

There's a very strong possibility that the book of Esther should be categorized as
myth, viz: a fictional tradition with elements of history woven in to give the story a
patina of realism. Some very good novels have been written that way; movies and
plays too.
We shouldn't let ourselves be disturbed to find some fiction tucked in the Bible's
pages. I mean, after all, the Song is one of Solomon's romantic fantasies and
nobody seems to mind.
