I don't really care. The main reason to go wireless as far as I'm concerned is because it means one doodad to plug into the computer instead of two. In theory having a long range can be handy but you can only go so far from the computer screen before it becomes worthless because you can't see what's going on.

keyboard, wireless: Because the amount of energy it uses from the batteries is minimal, and as such those batteries last a long time. When the batteries are low/out - they keys don't work, and it's obvious that I need to change them.
mouse, wired. Because I've found I have to change these batteries fairly often, and it's not just that the mouse suddenly stops working, I get a gradual reduced performance that I don't usually notice until it's really annoying.

Curious - I use a wireless mouse and find the time between battery changes is so long I can't remember what battery the thing actually takes.

It would be nice to have wireless keyboard again, but I use what the company I work for sent to me which is just a regular laptop.
