Do you think that mankind's mistakes and wickedness is predicted in holy in scripture and is climate change one of the fruits of such mistakes and wickedness predicted in holy scripture?

There are many mentions of drought and flood in scripture.

I think reading climate change into Biblical texts is stretching the text to fit what we're seeing around us.

In the OT there certainly were all sorts of plagues and famines and things but they were brought to bear against specific situations. You wouldn't see a situation where Israel fell into sin and as a result the Assyrians were punished with flooding.

The sun burning men (Rev 16:8) is the result of the angel pouring his bowl upon the sun, and doesn't appear to happen until the first three angels have done their things with their bowls. The first angel's bowl caused loathsome sores to break out on those who had taken the mark of the beast; the second and third angels turned the seas and rivers to blood. Since neither of those have happened yet it's probably safe to say the fourth angel hasn't poured his bowl out.

That's even without getting into a discussion of whether Revelation describes a sequence of events or multiple things going on at once :)

A great deal of prophetic interpretation over the past 200 years has been reading current events into the bible.

Well, God predicted to Noah a lot of rain, and to Joseph a lack of rain... but I'm not sure either qualified as "climate change" (at least on a permanent or global scale).

They didn't call it climate change in the Bible. But, it is obvious to me that if an area was once rich and fertile but it changes from that to being dry and desolate, then that says to me the climate changed. We see that all through the OT.

I've heard of people say that natural disasters are because it's punishment for wicked people (not saying I buy that) but I haven't heard mention climate before.

Whether it's in scripture or not it is very real and needs to be addressed. Many countries are pledging to try to save the earth now.

They can only save the earth if it is actually caused by human activity. When the best solutions governments can ever seem to come up with begin with "introduce a new tax on..." it's hard to take their protestations seriously. It's also hard to take them seriously when they fly (first class, naturally) with armies and me-too and hangers-on to exotic locations to discuss ways of stopping the little people from flying in cattle class.

They are, but, they may be a little late.
