Now that it's autumn...

What plans do you have now that it's autumn?

I found a bunch of festivals and would love to go to a couple of them. The downside is I started my diet again (because I had gained 5 pounds of my 10 pound weight loss back) and all I see are goodies I want to munch on.

For me, autumn means football. I watch college football on Saturday, professional football on Sunday. I watch Thursday Night Football and Monday Night Football.

When I was younger, this time of year meant salmon and steelhead fishing. Now it's just kind of a sad time for me that winter is coming, though I like that it's cooler.

About 5 or 6 years ago.

More hiking, now I can spend time in the woods without sweating so much I can't carry enough water to replace it all.

Harder running, now I can go harder without my pulse rising as high as it does when it's hot.

More work on the house, now I can work in more confined spaces and wear protective equipment without sweating so much I drip on power tools or fog up my eyewear to the point I can't see what I'm doing.
