You can buy "barebones" and add RAM up to 64GB and storage to whatever it can take. I do not know about your monitor, mine is an AOC 27" from a year or two ago.

My monitor is an Iiyama something or other. I bought it some time around maybe 2010. It still works so I never felt the need to replace it. It just doesn't play with Windows 10 over an HDMI link any more.

If you do not have a driver for the monitor then Windows 10 or 11 may give you trouble, you can try Linux without having a driver for the monitor, see how that goes if you like. But windows 10/11 is for many people more desirable.

Linux is too much hassle for me to change everything, it's easy enough to just keep using it with a DVI cable. Windows didn't look for a driver for it so I don't know whether that means there isn't one, or it's just so old I'd need to hunt it down myself. Since I can't even remember the model number of it, and don't have the stand any more (it's been on a wall mount for many years) it might just be something I need to live with for now.

The back of a monitor usually has a sticker with model and serial number. You may be able to find a driver.
