I don't agree. I don't perceive the world in terms of stupid and intelligent, but rather in terms of more or less deceived. We're battling supernatural entities who possess unimaginable cunningness and deceit tactics. It would be prideful to view oneself as less corruptible than others. Think of those who are offended as deceived, not as stupid.
Being 'honestly' deceived is one thing. Being willfully ignorant is another.
What I mean by "honestly deceived" : Not being in possession of enough info to make critical decisions but having the tenacity to seek the truth to their best understanding.
Willfully ignorant is something else entirely. The willful ignoramus doesn't care about truth. They are much more concerned with whether a certain opinion or stance makes them popular or unpopular, disrupts their precious world view, or otherwise gains them something from others. These people are, and are rightfully called, stupid.
