Because he is black it must surely follow that all the Democrats will vote for him. They are the ones who said back in 2008 that not voting for the black candidate was racist, after all. And Joe Biden is - horror - white, so obviously all the evils of racism are his fault.

My esteemed friend,

You don't get it. For liberals, "Black" isn't an objective reality (for Liberals, there is no such thing as an objective reality).. It has to do with one's identity and heart. Clinton, they insisted, was America's first Black president. But there is no such thing as a conservative Black, they are actually White. And NOTHING is more offensive to a Liberal than a person who is White but claims to be Black (because of their skin color).

I know. It's complicated. But no one claimed that Liberalism makes sense. Or is at all consistent.

It certainly doesn't have to make sense. It seems that you live your own reality, unless they dislike the reality. So if you have well pigmented skin and vote Democrat then you are black. If you have well pigmented skin and vote Republican then, as Dopey Joe once said, "you ain't black".

But hey, what has reality got to do with anything any more?

But wait, what if whoever loses the 2024 election decides to identify as POTUS? Does their internal identity get to trump external reality, the way it does everywhere else? This could be fun....

That's a certainty. They're currently working on getting Justice Clarence Thomas off the Supreme Court, although he was for years the only black member of the court. And what's his offense? Oh, his wife has expressed some political POVs that they don't care for, and he has a close friend who invites him to visit, and happens also to be wealthy.

I think his crime is probably more likely to be Being Conservative While Being Black.
