Some of my religious beliefs are personal. I grew up in and around churches and it would be easy, if I were not serious about particular beliefs, to walk in and join some community. To me that's personal because it keeps me isolated from people with whom I actually share a fair amount of commonality, however the differences are enough that I don't want to compromise.
