Should religious institutions be taxed? Why or why not?

Most certainly. They are in fact religious business franchises, just like Walmart or Micky Ds. Not found in scripture, but they sell religious services to people of various persuasions. I think all of them obviously operate at a profit and should be declassified as nonprofits.

Religious institutions such as churches should not be taxed because they aren't in it for the money, as in to make a profit. They are a non-profit.

IF all other not-for-profit institutions are.... including school districts, hospitals, libraries, soup kitchens, animal shelters, etc.
