What's a genuine miracle you believe has happened in your life?
I think if a person knows that God controls everything we experience, the miracles become more obvious. I see my entire Christian life from the beginning as a series of miracles. Some examples are when we were stranded in a foreign country needing plane tickets, the Lord opened a door to sell a couple of songs I wrote years earlier. They fit with the soundtrack of a movie of the same theme.
Another was an often loose dog in the neighborhood we feared would harm or kill one of the neighborhood kids. We had it on video attacking a pedestrian walking his dog on the other side of the street. Which brought the cops to question the owners and view our ample video evidence of leash law, and possible drug house activity. The videos proved they were lying every time they tried to wiggle out of it. Shortly thereafter they moved.
Another miracle came through my trying to live the Sermon on the Mount as a career. Jesus says he will provide all of your needs if you seek first his kingdom. Dropping out of music and homeless, I began working low-rung, part-time dead-end jobs as unto the Lord. In the end, I retired early, debt free, on my own dime. Never needing public assistance. In this, I saw job closings on Friday, and I went to work doing something else the next Monday, never looking for a job. My skill sets developed along with higher-paying jobs all tailored to my abilities. Once tripling the monthly sales record for the 50+-year-old business I retired from.
An example: A couple walks in to rent a digital piano for $150. One of them was a piano wiz, so I showed them a $175000 concert grand. They bought it!
Unless you know God controls everything, you might miss the less obvious miracles in your life.
