Pope Francis himself arrived in Canada this week with a singular purpose — to apologize on Canadian soil directly and personally to indigenous peoples for the Catholic Church’s role in the government funded residential school system.

Except the Pope did not apologize for what CATHOLICS did.

Here is what he said:

I humbly apologize for the evil committed by so many Christians against the Indigenous peoples..."

The word "Catholic" was conspicuously absent from his statement.

Eh, sounds like semantics. Doesn't the leadership of the Catholic church consider non-catholics to be apostate anyway?

Even if he were apologizing on behalf of Catholics, what business does he have in doing so anyway - unless the church was somehow responsible.

@Stravinsk

Here's the OP and what I replied to....

Yeah, it's possible that by saying "Christians" he meant "The Catholic Church" TOO.... and it's possible he used the word "Christian" as the equal of "The Catholic Church"... I won't dispute that. This pope is not well known for being precise by his language (indeed, the opposite). But according to the article in my morning newspaper, it appears he did not apologize for what The Catholic Church did (only for what "CHRISTIANS" did), although I don't mean to suggest the newspaper is accurate, perhaps he did and the paper just didn't report that (I'll yield that point, too LOL).

By 'Christians', what is meant is white Christians, of course.

It is all based upon the satanic movement alive in the world today that whites must apologize to the third world peoples. We must hang our head and feel guilty.

For what? For bringing a God fearing civilization to a world that was steeped in darkness.

Funny isn't it? Everybody wants an apology for the white peoples evil ways. Yet every one of the third world people are all trying to get to a white run nation.

I guess they just want that apology so bad they must immigrate to get it.
