Thank you for proving my point that no amount of evidence will change a flat earthers mind. You have it set in your mind that the earth is flat and any evidence that points otherwise is fake.

BTW, for your meme the two photos were taken at different distances, either that or they were taken with at different zooms. Another explanation could be that the image on the left is a picture and the image on the right is Google Earth. Or maybe these images are manipulated by a flat earther with photoshop to create "proof" of a flat earth that isn't real.

Either way, it is easy to reproduce the effect by taken pictures at different distances, zooming in on the picture taken from distance until the objects are the same size, then cropping the pictures to the same size. Depending on the differences in distance will determine the amount of "change' in the size of the objects on the picture.

Do you have evidence that those two pictures were taken by the same camera at the same distance with the same field of view, at the same time of day?

Oh no. Nearly everyone born in the last (I don't know how many hundreds of years) is indoctrinated into this belief. Now 666 may have a literal interpretation for future buying and selling and only apply to a single generation, but I tend to think it may have a broader interpretation spanning many many more years.

You see, there is only one commandment that it mirrors or counterfeits. The Sabbath command. And the Sabbath cannot be kept unless it's known for sure what day it is.

The Globe/solar system model mocks the biblical testimony with regards to the earth. It puts a veil over it. Those who believe in it certainly cannot take scripture's testimony at face value. And since they cannot, it is not possible for them to find the path Christ said only a few will find.

When I said "you satisfied me", I was referring to you, specifically. It is clear to me you are one of the many sojourners who cannot discover truth because that pride - the 666 mankind pride - gets in the way, and you are so easily led away by blatant lies, as you demonstrated in post #61.

I do not believe I have ever commented on this subject, and I certainly do not appreciate being called out for it. I don't see a value in trying to convince anyone of anything over the internet, it is a rare person that changes their mind based on internet debates.

Whoever wrote that document is ignorant. If he had every taken a college level science or engineering class he would know what those "assumptions" actually mean.

What the writers are doing is not incorporating the curve and movement of the earth in order to simplify the model. This is called Simplifying Assumptions in the Scientific/Engineering world.

Why make the models more complex by adding in the rotation of the earth and curve of the earth if it makes little or no difference to the outcome of the model?

In one of the papers he quotes the writer actually tells us that using a "Flat Earth Assumption" is safe

My experience with Flat Earthers is they see what they want to see. Any picture/video of an optical illusion that makes the earth look flat is real and any picture/video that shows a curved planet is CGI. They come up with arguments that don't take into account basic physics, known natural optical illusions, how ships and planes navigate on a curved earth (if the earth was flat then all these ships captains and pilots would get lost because they have taken into account the curve of the earth since global travel became a thing), and just says things that exist don't exist. For instance, the insistence that there are no direct flights over the Southern Hemisphere. Or that it is illegal for civilians to go to Antarctica.
