Do you think Putin will resort to using nuclear weapons?
Mark the day that I agree with Strav to a degree. Nations have nuclear capacity, most likely weapons (sorry Strav), but agree that threats that anyone WILL push a button setting off the end of the world just feels like the stuff of Dr. Strangelove. One must believe nuclear weapons exist before one believes they could be used or are a threat.
There is no doubt in my mind that nuclear power is real.
Nuclear weapons, on the other hand, is very much in doubt in my mind. Evidence points to the two Japanese cities being heavily firebombed, not nuked near the end of the second world war. Several of the "nuke footage" that was produced decades ago reeks of fakery. Nuclear weapons simply haven't ever been used since world war 2 (if one believes that) and I think it's naive to believe all the so called nuclear countries just obeyed their treaties, even during war times.
To me, it's a threat very similar to earlier threats to keep people in line, afraid, and submissive to earthly masters.
Do you think Putin will resort to using nuclear weapons?
Yes, I believe Putin would resort to using them if he feels he has to. Which is why I wonder why Biden wants to poke the bear. We have no interest in Ukraine. Let them fight their own wars.
Because nuclear weapons exist, they will be used again one day.

We might not have specific interest in Ukraine but what's to say Putin will stop if Ukraine does fall? What if he goes further and attacks a NATO country - then there are treaty obligations to get involved.
Sometimes it's better to poke the bear to get it to back off than get drawn into an all-out fight with it later on.
