I will say this, for what it's worth, though it probably doesn't satisfy you for an answer.

When ones life has experienced many 'tough phases', and 'crisis', which everyone does, the 'toughest' just doesn't matter. It is the constant barrage of hard times, tough phases, that all experience.

Life is cruel and real.

I can't decide between the years when my daughter had her eating disorder or when I had my cancers and surgeries. Both were brutal.

You first . . .

For me it's when my Dad lost his battle to cancer. I'm an only child and he was my last living relative. When he passed, the realization of being alone ( without any family ) hit me hard.

Yes, that would be tough.

With me it was kidney stones over a decade ago, and being told I would be on dialysis in 10 years time and then need a kidney transplant to live. Here I am about 15 years later, haven't needed dialysis or a transplant, and my kidney function is nearly normal thanks to a disciplined lifestyle and prayer.

The past few years, with covid, my dog dying and falling out with two former friends that I spoke to daily.

I don’t need sympathy though I’m doing okay now!

I don’t think I completely get over it but I have given me time to heal.
