What table of contents ought the bible to have?

Some might think that this topic is theological and from a certain point of view it may seem so but in reality is it in fact a matter for bible study.

My most used bibles have 73 entries in their table of contents for the bible text and usually a few extra entries for things like a concordance, maps, and essays on scripture.

Anyone can put anything in a tome with "BIBLE" printed on the cover in genuine imitation gold letters. There is no law anyway forbidding or requiring what publishing houses may print in such.

The Table of Contents in my Lutheran Study Bible takes up two pages and I image has about 200 things mentioned. The tome is 2,372 pages. And it has an accompanying tome (it's a set) that has about 100 things in the table of contents and has 417 pages. So altogether, there's about 300 things in the Tables of Content and 2789 pages.
