I don't have cable so don't watch TV at all at the moment.

My past experience of most Christian productions is that they are truly dismal. I used to have a channel called GOD TV which was just endless drivel showing congregations singing the same couple of lines over and over and over. A few people at my church love RightNow Media but every single video of theirs that I've seen has just annoyed me. The content is OK but it's like they made it into a video just because they could and did a really bad job of production.

Christian movies don't rate much better for me. I saw "What If" and the first "God's Not Dead" and thought both of them were tedious drivel. I don't watch Christian movies for that reason.

So far I think the only specifically Christian video I've enjoyed was the two American Gospel DVDs. They are informative rather than entertainment.

Not to critique anything at this point but my wife likes David Jeremiah and his Turning Point sessions and we are familiar with his daily radio slot.

Our favorite entertainment programs are "When Calls The Heart", & "Signed, Sealed, Delivered".

We have been watching some early Alaskan Bush Family episodes on a new free-to-air Discovery Channel here & later episodes on YouTube for the following reasons:
  • No profanity
  • References to faith & trust in God
  • Beautiful scenery
  • Family dynamic (originally the 7 Brown children & their parents, Billy[deceased] & Ami)
  • Educational activities
Even better, the eldest family sibling Matt Brown has established himself on YouTube and is producing episodes of his hikes in the wilderness with insights into survival, and with uplifting content that pertains to his yielding and commitment to "God in Christ" as he phrases it.

I get my news in part from EWTV, a Catholic channel. Occasionally, there's good family stuff on the BYU channel, and LDS channel.

Other than that, I mostly avoid "Christian" channels.... I tend to find them pretty useless and often a bit embarrassing. I HATE the idea that non-Christians think THIS is what Christianity is about.

I'd be embarrassed to show some of what passes as Christian entertainment to non-Christian friends. I feel like it would be a relentless time of explaining that most of us aren't like that.

There is a station on my cable network that offers really good wholesome, Christian movies. I like that. I get sick of the wokeness being forced on my eyes and ears daily.

I don't watch any of the Christian channels. My favorite show is Heartland out of Canada. Good family values and a recent season dealt with the grieving process. I think you can get in Netflix and Up Faith and Family via Amazon. There are 15 seasons.

My son (4yo) likes Superbook, but outside of that I don't care for any Christian TV programming. It seems to mostly be geared towards very evangelical and prosperity teaching (CBN/CTN), Pentecostal (TBN) or Seventh Day Adventist (3ABN/Daystar).

I don't get wokeness forced on me at all. My TV has a handy little button on the top. If I press the button the TV goes blank and whatever was on the screen before goes away. It's quite handy.
