Dangerous drivers. People who, when waiting in the special turn lane at an intersection to turn across it, decide at the last minute they don't want to turn and slam on the accelerator to move ahead of the first car waiting to go straight. I almost rear-ended someone who did that to me.

Raging drivers. That was me after the above incident and I chased the car with every intent of pushing it off the road and going after the driver. Luckily I came to my senses in time before I did anything so stupid.

Drunk drivers.

Aggressive drivers. You are safely several car lengths ahead of a car and put on your signal to turn into the lane they are following. For whatever screwed up reason, they slam on the accelerator as you start to make your lane switch so that you have to quickly go back into the lane you came from to avoid a collision.

Drivers who, due to a combination of age and declining mental facilities, shouldn't be on the road. They do dangerous stuff like drive half the speed limit , crawl out into an intersection from a turn lane on a green light but stop completely in the middle of the intersection when it goes yellow, or turn from a shop or side street into oncoming traffic.

On the less bad but annoying side - drivers who signal to turn into a cross street but do not move to the turn lane or do so only halfway, forcing through traffic to slow down to accommodate them.

Passengers:

Passengers who needle, annoy, provoke (physically, verbally or otherwise) drivers. Or who are thoughtless with their words and the impact they might have on the driver at the time. Imagine crossing a bridge and at that moment telling the driver he just lost his job and cannot support his family or meet his financial obligations anymore.

As a rule anything that looks like someone is oblivious to the fact that there are other people using the same road. You know, that term "public" in "public road" is a bit of a clue...

As Strav said, the ones who race through heavy traffic dodging and weaving like something out of the Fast and Furious movies. Or the ones who drive at a snail's pace holding everyone up. The worst of those are the ones who drive 45 for miles when the speed limit is 55, then drive into an area with a 35 limit but still keep on going 45.

Other bad drivers are the ones who feel a need to get in front even if they aren't going any faster. When I used to cycle a lot I came across those - the ones who would make a dangerous pass so they could get to the red traffic light a few seconds faster.

People who are fiddling with their phone while driving. I lose track of the number of people I see who speed up and slow down erratically, weave erratically, who I've managed to pass only for my wife to comment the driver is texting.

For me the worst are tailgaters. If someone drives dangerously close to the back of my car I'll slow down until either they pass or the space they left is a suitable stopping distance for the speed we're now going. I remember one twisting country road years ago where some idiot decided to drive so close behind me I could lip-read what he was saying in my rear view mirror. Because there was no way he could have stopped in time if I rounded a corner and found an obstruction in the road I slowed down, and he got closer, so I slowed down some more. It took a while but eventually he took the hint and backed off to a more suitable distance.

Speeding through parking lots and shopping centers.

Honking at people while they're waiting to turn right on red.

The ones that speed up and won’t let you merge when they see your blinker.

I tend not to use my mirrors and I go too slowly - because I am aged!

May I say I love your questions!

+ Drivers weaving in and out of traffic - often without even signally. They THINK they will thus arrive at their destination quicker but they are only increasing the odds at arriving at the hospital (and taking innocent drivers with them)

+ Drivers who have no clue how to enter and exit High Occupancy Lanes ("car pool" lanes) And the trucks and buses that TECHNICALLY can use such but drive slow - negating the whole point of the lane. IF you want to drive 50 MPH, go in the lane where people are driving 50 MPH. Simple.

+ Drivers that have no clue what turn indicators are for.

+ And this one I hesitate to share but.... POLICE that clearly violate driving laws. I'm NOT speaking of when they are in pursuit or rushing to a scene (lights on, for example) but just driving. I've watched cops drive at least 20 MPH over the speed limit.... coast through stop signs... even mak illegal turns. I support law enforcement, I am very grateful of their service, but I just feel they would be an example. When I was a teen, before I had my license, it was a sort of game for us to spot all the cops (on duty, in uniform) violating traffic laws.

+ Many more...
