If it’s not in the Bible, then is it Biblical? Why don’t Christians have this ritual?

Do you think that Spielberg invented the “PG-13” rating because boys have Bar Mitzvah at 13?

“The Jewish coming-of-age ceremony of bar mitzvah was first recorded in thirteenth-century France, where it took the form of a simple statement by the father that he was no longer responsible for his thirteen-year-old son. Today, bar mitzvah for boys and bat mitzvah for girls are more popular than at any time in history and are sometimes accompanied by lavish celebrations.”

No, I think THIRTEEN was chosen as the bridge between PG and R ratings was selected because it marked the start of being a “teenager” (by definition, twelve is followed by thirTEEN). Whatever his motives, the decision was made by far more than one producer and Spielberg was more the villain than the hero in that story by creating PG rated HORROR movies aimed at children that People Magazine called “a cinematic form of child abuse” (like Gremlins and Temple of Doom).
