I saw a video (several months ago) that put together a heap of people's stories off different social media about vaccine reactions and deaths. I don't know the link to that now.

Here, however, is one that was brought to my attention recently:

How sad. A lady at my office was ready for her first jab because we are under a deadline to get vax'd and I talked her out of it. A friend asked us to pray for her grand niece who got the jab two weeks ago and now can;t walk and is having trouble talking.

It's so sad how experts are saying it's better to have bad reactions to the vaccine instead of getting covid. I mean, these reactions are really bad so how can they say that with a straight face?

... and when COVID has such a high survival rate. A few months ago a few people I know who live in an old folks' home got it and I was expecting a succession of funerals. But almost without exception they described it as leaving them very tired for a couple of weeks, some of them lost smell and taste, all of them found it little more than an inconvenience and, crucially, all of them survived.

Mortality seems to be around 1% in the US Mortality Analyses - Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, though it would be higher in that situation. Still, for a few people to survive it is not a surprise. But we’ve still got nearly 1 million dead, and it has caused serious problems for many communities.

When a journalist/news reporter uses the term "experts" and/or "officials" followed by some statement, especially when said "experts" or "officials" are not named, it is usually a sign the statement is simply a position the news agency wants the public to be swayed by on little real authority. Else they would be named, and any financial ties they might have could be brought to light for their "expert" or "official" position on the matter. This is a common television/corporate media technique designed to lul hypnotized viewers into thinking the new opinion they have is held on some authority.

It has caused problems but death rates are suspect as are mortality rates by implication. And we're not talking about "a few people surviving", we're talking about it sweeping through a retirement home with many of the residents getting it (you know, the most vulnerable people who are old and often unwell) and the overwhelming majority of them surviving it.

The figures I recall seeing from the CDC (for whatever value they might have) suggested mortality rates for those under 50 with no comorbidities were in the region of 0.02%, rising to more like 5% or higher for older and less healthy people. That said even those numbers are suspect when a "COVID death" isn't necessarily someone who died of COVID.

Hmmm. I just got my Moderna booster tonight About 4 hours ago. So far, just mildly achy.

It didn’t hit me until the next day. About the same as the original second dose.

It hit me shortly after I posted that. It felt like I had the flu.

It's been a few months since I've had my vaccines (both shots) I got the pfizer vaccine. I didn't experience any symptoms other than a sore arm after the first shot. I had a massive headache when I got the second shot which I had to sleep off. I felt fine the next day.
After my booster I eventually felt like I had the flu but when the headache set in I took a couple Advil’s and felt fine about an hour or hour 1/2 later.
