Romans 2:29 kjv
29: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Kind of sounds like this is a change in that generation.

Galatians 4:28 kjv
28.Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
29. But, as he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now.
30. Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
31. So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

Galatians 5:1
1. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2. Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

I reckon that since blood and water came out of Jesus’s side something had happened in his heart.

Our highest level should be to look at our hidden man of the heart rather than the outward man of the flesh.

You have a Mississippi redneck posting scriptures. In no way do I exalt myself.

Again the whole context of the account given in galatians concerning circumcision involves more than the knowledge of men.
Ive provided the scripture below to help further context concerning galatians 5:2 and the matters of circumcision that i spoke of before.
There is nothing inherently wrong if any gentiles had decided to follow Torah.

Acts 16
[ Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:

2 Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.

3 Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.

4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem. ]

I wonder if any readers here know the 4 specific decrees ole sh'aul is sharing after a council with kefa(peter and the disciples?

I Corinthians 7:18 kjv
18. Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.
19. Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

Colossians 2:11 kjv
11. In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

Ephesians 2:15 kjv
15. Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, eventhe law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

Commandments contained in ordinances .
Not the physical, but the hidden higher level abstract meaning hidden in the physical ordinance. In Christ the law fulfilled is eternal.

I am so glad you asked.

Not that I have the total answer, but it may help to understand this thread.

We have come to a crossroad on the physical level of the conversation. I have just at this point in life maybe seen how with
(Fear and trembling )
Let each man work out his salvation.

I am not dodging your question, but it will take an interchange of ideas between us to work through this.

I live above the Gulf of Mexico.
so I can not go too far south ( unless I start swimming) and possibly drown in carnal reasoning.

I can go east
I can go west
I can got north
As a Christian I can change my level of understanding and look for a more spiritual solutions to our question. I would have to be caught up in the spirit to do this (mainly caught up by God).

Of the three physical directions:
One remain as I am (with confusion)
Two change what I am (with modern science)
Three be blended in one new man out of biblical understanding, but still be on an earth plane.

The second level may be the parable of the seeds. Not circumcision of flesh but circumcision
Of the heart.

The third level may be where Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father ever making intercession for us.

This gentile way of looking for knowledge will end one day. We will see clearly.

The Jewish way may be to seek a Sign. But
The Jonah three days is all that is given.

I Corinthians 9:9 kjv
9. For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?
10. Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.

So
From flesh circumcision to heart circumcision would be our first move.

Too much / many minds?

Philippians 2:5 kjv
5.Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6. Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7. But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And the circumcism needed now is the circumcism of the heart. Not a proselyte of the flesh, but the law placed in hearts and minds by the Holy Spirit.
Got to love all the born again Jewish New Testament writers.
